The River

Many men from many times
Have stood before this stream.
Something in the gentle force
Inspires you to dream.

If she could tell a story
The places she has been.
Never once to meet a stranger.
Me I call her friend.

The morning sun is golden,
Upon the waves a dance.
And moonlight holds a special charm,
That tells of true romance.

The roar is somehow calming,
May she always carry on.
To ever tell her story,
The rivers lovely song.

Thank you Diana and George
